Of all weekends to hang at Seascape Resort in Aptos, we picked the stormiest. While Mark took the day Ski Bus to Kirkwood for some Snowboarding, we checked out the Seascape Resort in Aptos for the first time for one day. I must say that it is a great get away for the weekend with nice restaurants and shops within walking. We stayed in the Beachfront Villa’s. I never knew the resort existed and I must have fished that beach a thousand times in my life. You can’t really see it behind the cliffs. The Surf was wild and dangerous. Although I walked the Rio Del Mar beach with my fishing gear, I never made a cast. I couldn’t stop thinking about the experienced Surf Fisherman that died on that beach, drowned by a ripcurrent, last week. The resort is in the perfect location for Surf Fishing if you are so inclined. You can actually have them pick you up from your suite or villa and golf cart you down to and from the beach at no charge! They have a card station at the base of the cliff that you can use to summon the ride up! Took my Lumix GH2 out for a ride also….
