Today, The Cal Bears football team got their asses handed to them by underdog UCLA. Stanford Football beat USC in triple overtime and a surfer in Monterey got wounded by a great white shark (I worry about Mark surfing). Wes and I fished the Delta today and managed 14 fish to the boat including 3 keepers the largest being 4 lbs. The average fish was sub dink and we managed to boat half a dozen 6 inch bass. Fishing the Big Break with us was Wayne, Benson, and the Syn Twins who also had a slow day. According to Wes, it was an epically mediocre day–perhaps his worst day ever on the Delta. Hope the fishing improves for next weeks Striperfest. The funnest minute of the day was the early morning when we managed a few boils on Pole Dancer Flies.
