Gina inherited the responsibility of baking the Easter bread for entire Gray side of the family about 10 years ago after watching her mom make them since she was a kid.   It is an all day project that is steeped in tradition and chemistry (baking skills) .  In the Russian Orthodox faith, this bread is traditionally made, decorated and brought to the church the day before Easter to be blessed.  It is consumed on Easter Sunday which is also the breaking of  lent.   It will be soon time to teach this to Mia.   For the record, another perfect batch which is no easy feat,   despite the last minute adding of butter, oil and lemon to the rising dough.
