There is some talk about raising the height of San Luis Reservoir 20 feet which would increase its capacity 130,000 acre feet (enough water for half a million people for a year). Just like the controversy over raising Shasta Dam, environmentalists and water experts propose that increasing the capacities of Dams in California is much better than building new ones. I would tend to agree however, where does the water come from to fill the damn?
