Its like the Shark’s loosing streak. I just cant win one.  The last 4 weeks of fly fishing the forebay has been so slow for me that I cant remember what a big striper feels like.   Yikes   Again today,  great weather,  8 hours of good casts and nothing to show but the smallest striper I have ever caught. The lake is taunting me.   To further humiliate me,  there were about 40 fish caught in the morning on bait by the trollers and the anchovie fisherman around the north end of the lake inside the yellow buoys. 

This 5 inch fish has to be only 6 months old.  Maybe the stripers are spawning in the forebay.
