The 2014 “Synfandel” is in the history books.  Gina and I picked grapes early this morning. Preliminary BRIX ratings averaged 25 so we decided to pick the best of the grapes aiming at a yield of 20 gallons.   In a couple of hours,  we ended up with about 200 lbs of grapes with at least 25% still on the vine.

We ended the day with a little over 20 gallons of must at 24 brix.  I have a feeling tomorrow,  the brix might be a bit higher as the grapes start to become more homogeneous.

Today the Ducks showed that they can beat a Stanford type offense.  Also USC beat Stanford today
