The day has come where 720P just doesnt cut the mustard.  I need the 1080p for my PS3.  I need 1080P for my HTPC so I can play the “killer sample”.  I need 1080P to edit the my Xacti 1080P footage.  Lucky for me I spotted a  used The VPL- VW60  on Ebay and snipped it for $2200.   The VPL-VW60 has a full-on/full-off contrast ratio of 16,720:1 and at a third the price of the original Sony VPL 10 HT I couldnt resist.   We watch it every night and its the  jewel of the Media Room.
