The Forebay is Slowing Down…Cal Breaks Losing Streak

If all goes well, Ill be fishing the Delta from here on out. I decided to give San Luis another try this morning hoping last weeks slow day was a fluke. The day started out very windy. The east winds really whip up the 156 bridge channel. I only managed 5 fish and all caught before 11:00. I tried the wall and the flats with no luck. I did see those schools of very small stripers crashing minnows. THey should be ready in about 5 years. I talked to Dave Bearden yesterday and he told me that Len and Him caught many fish over ten pounds on very small flies in the old days. Len caught a 26 lbr in the forebay on a size 4 bucktail clouser in the 80s.

The Ducks had a bye week and play Arizona this Thursday at 7:00pm. The Cal Bears in a historic game finally broke their 15 game loosing streak beating Colorado in double overtime 59-56. What an EPIC game. With over 100 points scored cumulatively the Bear won by a field goal. Not since Tyler Fredrickson’s field goal in overtime to beat USC in 2003 has an OT field goal rocked Berkeley so hard.
