A Weekend At Half Moon Bay …

Gina scored a Sunday Night at Half Moon Bay State Park Campground and we headed over for a quick get together with Mark and Phoebe.   I brought my golf clubs again but we got a late start to the campground and ended up in traffic on Highway 92 again.   When the beach gets warm,  the roads turn into bumper to bumper traffic.   I talked to Mark who was also in traffic from SF on highway one and we decided to pass on the driving range and take the girls to the Pumpkin Patch and a nice Dinner in town.    I couldn’t wake up early enough to fish the tide but after Fridays great day at the lake,  I decided to take a day off from fishing.

Halfmoon Bay is famous for the HALF MOON BAY ART & PUMPKIN FESTIVAL  in mid October. Festival admission is free. Pets are not allowed. Presented by the non-profit Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee which has raised several million dollars for community service organizations and civic improvements in its 50 year history.   This year unfortunately it was cancelled but next year,  we start again planning far in advance to enjoy this great time of year in Half Moon Bay.  There is nothing Gina and I enjoy more than spending a weekend with Phoebe and Mark at the beach.

We found a cool outdoor restaurant -the Cantina  and had a feast of great food, live music and designer beers.  I really love how Dog friendly most of the outdoor restaurants are.
